I couldn't get through the book, it was so boring. I didn't really understand it because I read a lot, so .. The movie was the same for me. The only thing that could put a smile on my face that it was filmed in my country, HUNGARY!! The location was breathtaking. :)
I'm thankful I found others who don't think the book was god..I hated the timing of the book, stopped half-way thru cuz it was boring and not moving fast enough..all films based on books suck and miss stuff, but I think this movie is okay (at least timing-wise)
loved the book. i actually have considered the book my favorite in its genre for about 3 years..but this movie sucked. sorry. it totally ruined it. i was practically ready to shoot the director after the movie finished (yes, i sat through the whole thing all the while hoping that it could somehow be saved). wow..they left out so many things. i..just..i dont know. im not even going to bother to see the sequel if it comes out. the series is beyond redemtion. if you have never read the book, i imagine it would be entertaining for you. but, if you have read the book then beware..dragons lurk here (a pun. yes i am that lame. got it from european history class - they used it in medieval times to describe the world on maps that was unknown to them)
