Absolutely my favorite import movie. If they ever try to remake this one, I will personally find them, walk right up in the director's face and say.. FOR SHAME!
Really, this movie does keep you guessing as to just what is going on.
And don't bother trying to figure out who the killer is. It's dang near impossible.
It does get a little brutal-at least more brutal than I thought it would-but it is a very interesting film.
The first part of the movie delved into the girl's mind. It went into a very dark place. Unfortunately part 2 and 3 were not found. I really would have loved to watch the rest.
the right actress was cast for the part of Jin, build up of the story to the climax was artful. It was hard to guess the killer's id bec. there were not enough clues. There were many scenes in this film pertaining to a disturbed individual. But there is a great difference between finding an outlet like art for repressed emotions and acting them out.
everything about this movie was great the plot the acting the colors everything. It keeps you glued the whole time and the ending blew me away.this is a 5/5!!
Was really good, well in my sense it was, it had a great story line and plot, the obsessions she faced were total chaos it was amazing, the title of the movie was well thought out its weird how some people define beauty, I don't think i've seen a movie like this in a long while, the ending was very unexpected, of course all of Pang Brothers films are well done.
i don't think i have ever given a movie such a bad rating before, but this is definitely one of those movies that you keep watching even though you hate it because you want to believe that it gets better. i does not.i read the other posts and i had to make sure that we were talking about the same movie...i find it super weird that people liked this but to ea. its own.
i thought-shame on me:((--that is ordinary American horror/thriller like "pathology" or smthing. but i checked it when I saw Pang Brothers I knew it will be OK. This movie is great. really f^%$ing great. Awesome storyline awesome shooting and camera working, awesome light, awesome soundtrack, nice actress:)). First part of this movie is a heavy, gloomy, moody darkly psycho-thriller (but not like 'kinky killer") it's about going into madness, it touch upon how become mad because of seeking deeper aesthetically, artistic impressions and borders. this is the better part i suppose, very spooky and cliffhanging. afterward we have purification-main female character become happy and free from her obsessions. and then..bang,,movie turns into snuff-movie. but I have two comment about that:1. this thread about childhood
